Eighth Grade Closing Ceremony
On June 2, friends, family, and teachers looked on with excitement as eighth graders processed down Chapel Hill for their final reunion as middle schoolers. During the Closing Ceremony, twins Jeremy and Zachary W. chronicled the experiences of their class up to this exciting moment by comparing the journey to a sea voyage in a canoe, while fellow speaker Kalin E. inspired classmates to embrace what's ahead by stepping out of their comfort zones and trying something new. After receiving certificates from Head of Middle School Darren Ford and congratulations from Headmaster Charlie Britton, members of the Class of 2018 gathered around John McDonogh monument for a reception to celebrate their new status as upper schoolers.
