Track Stars Earn National Rankings
Two members of the indoor track teams earned national rankings with outstanding performances in the Montgomery Invitational last weekend.
Kristen B. '10 hurdled herself to first place with a time of 8.05, good for first place in the country.
Justin G. '10 also hurdled well, taking second in 7.65, a 10th place national ranking. He then jumped 23' 6" for a meet record and a second-place U.S. ranking.
Justin's recent efforts earned him local attention as the area's athlete of the week.
The boys and girls track teams will compete in their respective league championships on Friday, January 15 at Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex.
