Eighth Graders Perform Children’s Letters to God
McDonogh’s eighth grade Onstage class entertained family and guests with their performance of Stuart Hample’s Children’s Letters to God on January 20 and 21 in the Osborne Black Box Theatre. Directed by Middle School Choral Director Suzanne Eldridge, the students portrayed young friends who voice beliefs, desires, questions, and doubts regarding issues of life and death, first love, sibling rivalry, and the fear of being ‘unathletic.’
Both performances collected more than $450 in honor of Lynn McKain for The Red Devils, an organization supporting families of breast cancer patients.
Due to icy weather conditions and a power outage at the school, the seventh grade performances of “Fairy Tale Madness” were cancelled and are rescheduled for Wednesday, February 8 at 12:10 p.m. and Friday, February 10 at 12:45 in the Black Box Theatre.
