McDonogh's Debut at Book Festival

McDonogh’s booth at the Baltimore Book Festival was a big hit with festival goers of all ages, which included alumni from five decades, beginning with the 60s, alumni parents, and current teachers and students. The authors were busy for three days with visitors, and McDonogh is on the Baltimore literary map with its distinguished inaugural line-up that included teachers Lucy Martin and Martin Schmidt, current parents Steve Cunningham and Donna Jackson Nakazawa, alumni parent and illustrator Susan Detwiler, and photographer Middleton Evans ’82. Nicole S. ‘11, president of the Upper School Book Club, also spent time talking with families about McDonogh during the weekend event. Martin Schmidt’s maps that he used in conjunction with the display of his book, Maryland’s Geology, were also a big hit! For anyone unable to visit this year, stay tuned as we plan for next fall. The McDonogh family will be there!
